Shannon Lindsay, LPCC
Shannon Lindsay is a Clinical Social Work Candidate (SWC) who believes therapy works best when it feels collaborative, authentic, and tailored to the individual. She views each client as the expert on their own life and works alongside them to identify goals, build on existing strengths, and create meaningful change.
Shannon has experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults in schools, primary care settings, and community mental health settings. She has experience working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, autism, life transitions, and concerns related to self-esteem and emotional regulation.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness practices, somatic interventions, and play therapy. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing and works collaboratively with clients to discover the tools and strategies that best support their goals.
Shannon's practice is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and gender-affirming. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves.
Shannon became a therapist because she experienced firsthand the impact that supportive mental health care can have during adolescence and young adulthood. She is passionate about helping others access that same sense of understanding, empowerment, and hope while navigating life's challenges.
Outside of the therapy room, Shannon enjoys yoga, rock climbing, hiking, gardening, going to concerts, and spending time curled up with a good book and her cat.
