Cate Rush, LSW

Hi! I’m Cate and I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who works with teens and adults that want support navigating life and its complexities. I believe that humans are extremely resilient and can overcome a multitude of challenges, so long as they have the necessary tools. I bring a strengths based approach to therapy and use humor, empathy, and trauma informed care to support those that I work with.

I believe that each person and their unique challenges require various approaches to therapy. I am trained in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and have several years of experience working with people with OCD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My work is not only rooted in clinical training but in lived experiences that have served to make me a better therapist.

Outside of work I love spending time with my dog Otis, trail running, climbing, skiing, and reading. My love of nature has been instrumental in my own journey, and I’m always happy to do walk and talk therapy and incorporate nature into sessions.
