Maddie Hampstead; LPCC
Maddie hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is working towards obtaining her pre-candidacy for licensure. My approach to therapy is person-centered and strength-based, and I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative partnership. Together, we work toward goals that feel authentic and meaningful to you. I offer consistent, unconditional support while also “keeping it real” in a way that fosters honesty, growth, and connection.
Authenticity is one of my core values, and I hope that showing up as my true self encourages a foundation of safety and trust in our work together. I also believe strongly in the impact of environment and culture on a person’s development. I respect everyone’s unique experiences, cultures and viewpoints and offer a welcoming space to explore client’s concerns, goals, etc. I believe everyone carries a unique story, and sometimes life’s challenges or traumas can distort the way we understand ourselves. My goal is to help clients reframe their narratives, develop more compassionate self-language, and navigate life’s ups and downs with greater confidence and ease. I believe every person has inherent strengths and I strive to help clients identify, reclaim, and nurture those intricate gifts.
I have extensive experience in the mental health field across a variety of settings, working with adults of diverse backgrounds and concerns. Much of my work has included supporting neurodivergent clients (particularly ADHD), LGBTQIA+ individuals, and women’s issues. I specialize in addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief. I possess a professional commitment to working with diverse populations, specifically including the kink community.
